The construction of steel structure bolts has strict requirements for the accuracy of the connection components. In actual construction, gas cutting and drilling are not allowed, and forced driving is not allowed. The diameter of the bolt holes in the steel structure bolt connection components should meet the design requirements, and they should not be square or circular without regularity. Moreover, for the powerful component of steel structure bolts, the construction of steel structure bolt connections is operated according to strict requirements

1. Each member should have at least two permanently used steel structural bolts at the node and at one end of the splice joint;

2. Ordinary bolt tension connections that directly carry dynamic loads must use double nuts or other effective methods to prevent nut loosening;

3. Because there is a large gap between the C-grade bolt and the hole wall, it is only suitable for connections that are subjected to tension along its rod axis. Grade C bolts can also be used for secondary connections of structures that bear static loads, connections of detachable structures, and installation connections for temporary fixed components to withstand shear forces.

4. When using steel structure bolts for connection, the splices cannot use section steel, only steel plates can be used. (The bending stiffness of the section steel is large, and it cannot guarantee a close connection of the friction surface).

5. The end plate in bolted connections that are tensioned along the axis of the rod should be appropriately reinforced to reduce the adverse effect of prying force on the tensile bearing capacity of steel structural bolts.
