According to the torque of the dismantled bolts and the working environment used, the sleeves can be divided into three series: large, medium, and small, and distinguished by the width of the matching handle square eagle. Common ones include the 6.3mm series, 10mm series, and 12.5 series. If inches are used, they correspond to the 1 | 4in series, 3 | 8in series, and 1 | 2in series.

In addition to common standard sleeves, there are also many special sleeves, such as hexagonal long sleeves, hexagonal or hexagonal flower shaped sleeves, pneumatic sleeves, screwdriver sleeves, etc. If the head is made into special shaped bolts and nuts, special sleeves must be used for disassembly.

(1) Hexagonal long sleeve

The depth of the hexagonal long sleeve is three times deeper than the standard sleeve, and it is one of the most commonly used modified sleeves in automotive maintenance work.

(2) Pneumatic sleeve

The pneumatic sleeve is specially equipped with a pneumatic impact wrench for use. If a regular sleeve is used, the starting impact wrench will produce instant strong impact during operation, which may damage the sleeve.

The pneumatic special sleeve is made of special chromium steel alloy, and the production process increases wall thickness, reduces strength, enhances toughness, and enables it to adapt to harsh working environments.

(3) Twelve point flower shaped sleeve

There are two types of inner diameter shapes for the twelve point flower shaped sleeve: hexagonal and twelve point (double hexagonal). The inner hexagonal flower shaped sleeve has a large contact area with the surface of the bolt and nut, making it less likely to damage the bolt and mother surface; The twelve point flower shaped sleeve has a spacing of only 30 ° between the corners, making it easy to cover the bolts and suitable for disassembling bolts in narrow spaces.

(4) Hexagonal flower shaped sleeve

The flower shaped sleeve is specifically used for disassembling flower shaped bolt heads. During disassembly, the flower shaped sleeve can achieve surface contact with this bolt head and adopts a curved structure, which can reduce the volume while increasing the disassembly torque.

(5) Series screwdriver sleeve

The screwdriver sleeve is combined with the matching handle to form various screwdrivers or hexagonal wrenches, used to remove bolts with special shapes or small screws with excessive torque.
